Star Eyes' name is synonymous with raw, dirty underground bass music. A founding member of the world-renowned Trouble & Bass crew, this NYC bat girl causes mayhem around the world with DJ sets that swiftly connect the dots between house, grime, dubstep, and American underground sounds from Miami, New Jersey, Chicago and beyond. Meanwhile, her original music is an alluring mix of goth and rave influences whipped into a style she calls “haunted house”—her original tracks appear on T&B, Ghostly, Frite Nite, and Mixpak and she has collaborated with everyone from Drop the Lime and UFO! to Genesis P. Orridge of Psychic TV.

Though now splitting her time between Miami and New York City, XLR8R’s “artist to watch” Jubilee will always be Brooklyn’s bass sweetheart. Known for her rambunctious combination of upfront bass music, UK house, and tropical flavors, she has become a surefire remedy for ailing dancefloors around the globe. As if she wasn’t busy enough already, Jubilee has somehow found the time to steadily increase her workload as a producer. She recently released her Pull Ova EP on Mixpak Records and a collab with long time friend Burt Fox on Trouble and Bass called “Keys Wallet Phone”. Throw in remixes of Canblaster, Hydraulix, Creep, and Zuzuka Poderosa, and it’s easy to say the Jubilee is quickly becoming a go-to producer, particularly when artists need to inject their tunes with some infectious energy and dancefloor flavor.
BBRAVE [Akwaaba Music]
BBrave's sets span hiplife, azonto, kuduro, afrohouse, tarraxinha, coupé décalé, zoulgou and much more, highlighting syncopated music made on computers all across the African continent. As a DJ, he could never find much satisfaction in sticking to popular and recognizable sounds, instead venturing deeper into obscure grooves and experimenting with different regional genres. BBrave is also the head of Akwaaba Music, a label dedicated to spreading African music and pop culture by offering online distribution, promotion and marketing, and striving to work in a fair, transparent way.

DEV/NULL comes from nearly a decade of producing tracks in the breakcore scene, more recently expanding across a variety of styles. His CLOB MUSIC mix for Dis Magazine, featuring almost exclusively unknown gems, received thousands of plays and was featured on the Mad Decent blog. His well-regarded website, blogtotheoldskool.com, remains the longest-running oldskool blog on the internet, with tracks from it featured in mixes for the likes of Boiler Room, Mixmag, XLR8R & BBC/Radio 1.
